Over the past semester, my students from South Africa have been sharing their love for tea with me. Their number one brew is this Red Rooibos from Five Roses. A simple tea, no pretension here - but the flavor is great and with a spot of milk. YUM!
Rooibos teas are typically a woody, nutty flavor. You have to really like the flavor, but it has grown on me. I definitely recommend the milk. This is a caffeine free tea that is loaded with vitamins, antioxidants and minerals.
Some say drinking 6 cups a day can help with allergies and improve health. Other common uses for a rooibos brew are for skin allergies. This plant is often used in organic soaps to help alleviate agitated skin and rashes.
I rate this red rooibos tea 3.5 out of 5.
