I have finally gotten around to trying the matcha sample that teapigsUS sent me and man oh, man it is delicious! I had two packets so I was able to try it several times - the flavor was always outstanding!
Teapigs recommends you try it as a shot and I followed their directions and used water first and then tried it with orange juice which was pretty delicious, too! Because matcha is incredibly good for you I continued using the sample throughout my day at work.
The whisk you see above is a matcha whisk that helps make sure all of the clumps are melted in the water and is also used in the traditional Japanese tea ritual. I got my whisk from Teavana but Teapigs has a really awesome electric matcha whisk that is on my wishlist!
If you have never tried matcha, it is a high concentrate green tea powder chock full of catechins, amino acid l-theanine and beta carotene! It has a very rich and creamy flavor and is great iced, hot or blended. Many people use steamed milk to make green tea lattes which is a yummy treat; Also, you can cook with matcha! Green tea brownies FTW!
Good matcha can be pricey but it is definitely worth it and this stuff lasts awhile be since you usually use small amounts. This matcha is priced at $34.99.
I rate this matcha from teapigs a 5 out 5 stars!

I bought the English Tea Shop White Tea Collection for myself this Christmas with a gift card I received. I have never tried English Tea Shop's teas and I was craving some new white teas, so I figured - why not!
The White Tea Citrus by English Tea Shop is a light and cheerful. The citrus flavors are not overbearing and give a nice after taste. I put about 2 drops of honey in mine which really brought out the citrus tone and really amplified the flavor. This white tea is also delicious without any sweetener at all.
I recommend this tea for afternoon or early evening - not high in caffeine but a nice pick me up. Overall, this tea was good! Not the best I have ever had but definitely not to be snubbed, I will be enjoying the other three silk sachets in the set but likely won't purchase this flavor on it's own.
I rate this citrus white tea 4 out of 5 stars.

Bigelow's Lemon Lift tea is one of my favorite teas that I can always find at the grocery store. Great lemon flavor which can be amplified with a slice of lemon at the bottom of your cup! You can brew this and let it cool or sip it steaming hot.
This lemon tea is also one of my favorite teas when I am feeling under the weather. The citrus aroma clears my head and with a touch of honey it soothes a sore throat. I enjoy this team steaming hot at best, but it does taste delicious even when it goes cold so my guess is it would be a good sweet tea, too.
Recently, I have been mixing this tea with Tazo's Zen tea and that has been really delicious, too. Lightly sweetened with a half spoon of honey. Perfect for this flu bug that is going around!
I rate this lemon tea a 5 out of 5 stars.
